The Il Sole 24 Ore Italian newspaper reports that the Pininfarina Bluecar electric vehicle developed in partnership with French financier Vincent Bollore remains on track. The car was reconfirmed by Pininfarina S.p.A.’s CEO Silvio Pietro Angori who killed in this way the rumors of a possible break up with Bollore.

Angori also said that they have received more than 6,000 orders for the Bluecar and that the debut of the new car is set for 2011.”The joint venture is to develop and produce the Bluecar, then each of us has their own strategy. Bollore is probably interested in supplying his battery to the world and we to design electric cars also for other makers,” Angori said. Photo gallery after the jump!
