Kawasaki ZZR1400 Pipe Werx Exhaust

Pipe Werx has introduced a wide range of bolt-on cans for the 2012 Kawasaki ZZR1400. The 200bhp machine underwent heavy revisions for this year. It makes use of a huge 13kg twin silencer set-up as standard. The stainless option (which is the heaviest one) from Pipe Werx replacement cans represent savings of 6.9kg. The use of carbon fibre cuts the weight by slightly more than 8kg. The two cans are priced at only £290 (additional £10 delivery). The ZZR is available with 35 performance and weightsaving options to choose from. The British performance motorcycle exhaust company aims to provide for most rider preferences and budgets. The three can models available are SL (street legal), GP3 and Race.

These are all produced in round, oval or tri-oval shapes. There are five sleeve choices: stainless steel, powder black (stainless), carbon fibre, titanium or colour titanium. The SL can option, which is priced at £290 - £530, is BSI stamped for road use and is offered with a baffle to reduce the noise. This decibel reducer, which comes with a laser-cut Pipe Werx 'X' logo, could be removed quite quickly and easily.

The Race option, which costs £250 - £490, is a lot like the SL but it doesn’t have the removable baffle. The GP3, which is priced at £290 - £430, is one of the race-only applications that use a compact design to permit the optimum flow of exhaust gasses for performance gains while ensuring that decibel levels that come from its three-inch, laser-cut spout are at an concentration that’s acceptable. It’s easy to fit the upgrade cans just like all Pipe Werx exhausts. The replacement cans don’t need revisions to the giant 1441cc engine's fuelling when used with the standard header pipes. All Pipe Werx exhausts are available with a lifetime guarantee and are built with 304 grade stainless steel internals.
