Porsche 356 Speedster planning a big comeback

All the big manufacturers are now resurrecting their legends and it seems Porsche will follow this path too, with the 356 Speedster. It seems that the financial crisis also brings new ideas to the manufacturers and honestly, this looks like a brilliant idea for the German manufacturer. The new model, which according to Autozeitung, will be ready within 4 years is based on the Vw Bluesport Concept, unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show. The new vehicle from Porsche will represent an entry-level because it will be priced under 40,000. Under the hood the vehicle could borrow Audi's 2.0-liter TFSI engine from the TT Roadster, capable to develop 272 hp while an "S" version of the vehicle should go for the 2.5-liter 340 hp engine found on the TT RS. Of course we will have to wait, because Porsche will not green light this vehicle until 2013.. But, it's nice to dream a little until then!
