A brand new sports exhaust system for the current generation 911, which has been developed by Porsche, is going to be offered as an option on new models beginning February this year. The exhaust system will allow owners to adapt the Porsche 911 to his particular taste for the car's exhaust sound with just a push of a button. With main silencers made from modified stainless steel,
the sports exhaust system's unique design stands out. The system utilizes exhaust flaps on the main silencers which are turned on via the engine's electronic control system and switches to a more sporting sound when the driver activates the sound mode.
The sound, which is contingent on the engine load, speed and rpm, is activated by a button mounted on the center console. This new exhaust system is priced at 1,610 Euros exclusive of taxes, while the MSRP in the US is $2,500.
