Porsche Cayman S takes the ‘Best Driver’s Car’ and ‘Best Sports Car’ awards

The Porsche Cayman S lands back-to-back victories as the 'Best Driver's Car' in 2009 by the US car journal Motor Trend and as 'Best Sports Car' in British car journal Auto Express; New Car Awards 2009. Test experts unanimously cited Porsche's mid-engined coupe driving dynamics, precision, feedback and response as its winning points. The Cayman S bested nine other thoroughbred sports cars in Motor Trend's top list. The car's PDK Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe, the Porsche Double-Clutch Gearbox, was tested both on regular roads and the race track. The test team consisted of two professional racing drivers Massimiliano 'Max' Angelelli and Randy Pobst who announced their decision on the title at the Laguna Seca Race Track in California, praising in particular the surgical precision of the car's steering.
