Porsche Club celebrates its 60th anniversary

Porsche Museum

In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Porsche clubs, there will be a special exhibit on May 26-August 26 at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart. The most significant activities of the Club will be featured in the Porsche Museum. Ever since the Porsche Club scene started on May 26, 1952, the enthusiasm has been increasing worldwide. The Porsche Club was founded in Westphalia, Germany, by seven Porsche drivers. The common goal of this first club, according to its articles of association, is to ‘unite all Porsche drivers in friendship and comradeship’. Because Porsche cars were so rarely seen on the road in the early 1950s, the owners in Germany as well as in other countries experienced a greater sense of solidarity between them. The Porsche Club Belgium was founded in 1953 and two years later, the Porsche Club of America was formed. The U.S. club is now the biggest Porsche Club organization in the world. The Porsche Club Great Britain, which was founded in 1961, later became the largest Porsche Club organization in Europe. Actually, the Porsche clubs, when taken as one, make up the largest automotive sector brand club in the world. It is comprised of 640 officially recognized Porsche Clubs with 181,000 members from over 75 countries. The Porsche Clubs should be rightfully celebrated since they’re important brand ambassadors.
