Porsche developing a street version of the RS Spyder

Porsche RS Spyder

The latest rumors regarding a new Porsche model are pointing to a street version of the RS Spyder. It's hard to imagine that we will see that car on the road, but our sources are sure that Porsche will built a very limited edition of the RS Spyder 'street version', just like Mercedes-Benz did with the SLR Stirling Moss. The upcoming vehicle will borrow also the 3.4-liter V8 engine

found on the RS Spyder, capable to develop 480 hp, but it seems that Porsche will not deliver the same amount of power... the final version should carry almost 400 hp. Now don't think the car will be a slow one because you are wrong!

The new vehicle will be much lighter than the rest of the Porsche cars and will carry a carbon fiber monocoque structure, the same used for several years in for the F1 cars. Apparently, the spyder will be a two seater, distinguished by its radical proportions: 4.65 meters in length (longer with 20 cm than a 911), a width of 2 meters and a 1.10 m height.
