Porsche expects 80% sales for the Cayenne Diesel

Although we can't say this will be a fuel efficient vehicle Porsche expects that 80% of the Cayenne buyers will choose the brand new diesel version. According to the German manufacturer the diesel version of the Cayenne was considered in order to lower the consumption of the car (less that 10 liter/100 km -v of course we have to admit that it will be hard to achieve an average of 10 liters because, let's be honest... how many vehicles achieve the same fuel consumption found in its official specifications?!?!). As you may know already the new vehicle will be powered by a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine developed by Audi and capable to deliver 240 hp and 550 Nm of torque. According to our sources the new Cayenne will be the only diesel-powered Porsche and the Panamera will definitely not receive a diesel engine.
