Porsche Panamera to be officially unveiled in Shanghai

Porsche will be introducing its latest Panamera Gran Turismo in Shanghai rather than in the US or Europe. This is because the Asian market, particularly China, remains one of the fastest growing markets for premium and luxury brands like Porsche, regardless of the current global economic crisis. It is good economic sense for Porsche to introduce the highly awaited 4-door sports coupe to the world later this month at the Auto Shanghai China show.
Although the details of the Panamera were already reported previously, the most significant development on the latest model will be the recently developed PDK double-clutch transmission, which comes with a variety of shifty features, also a stop-start system for more economical driving, together with adjustable air suspension and an air spoiler at the rear that adjusts aerodynamics actively.
The latest Panamera will be showcased on the 20th of April at the Auto Shanghai China and will hit the market in 2010 there. In Europe the car will be available for sale by September and October in the US. Price tag for the car will be 72,300 Pounds (79,824 Euros) in the United Kingdom.
