The Porsche 918 Spyder will get a Race Track package that reduces weight and boosts overall performance. The Porsche 918 Spyder already takes inspiration from race cars but then, the automaker thought about making a version that’s even more intense. It’s not surprising really since this is the same company that delivered the 911 GT3 RS, which is basically a street-legal race car. Instead of increasing the power, this very expensive package is made lighter by removing items like the interior luxuries and the paint, reducing the overall curb weight by more than 60 lbs, according to Autocar. The standard curb weight is likely to fall below 3,700 lbs, which isn’t too light but is still impressive, considering the electronics and batteries on board. Nevertheless, it wouldn’t be too much of a burden to get this vehicle moving, especially with its electric motors coupled to a 4.6-liter V8, resulting to an output of about 770 hp.
