Porsche could be up to an ultra-hardcore GT2 RS exclusively intended for track days. Although the GT2 is already lightning fast at 530 hp, there are reports saying that a faster, lighter and more potent variant is still coming.
The newest
GT2 has succeeded to get rid of its extremely dangerous status although some might find the car more compatible with the road rather than the track. That concern is sufficiently addressed with the RS variant which might, except perhaps with the GT1, be the fastest road-going Porsche ever around the track. If this car continues to production, it is said that it will come with a Perspex window at the rear and wheels that are center-locking. Other weight-saving measures will be taken to add to the remarkable 200 kilogram reduction in weight. A power boost will increase engine potency by 50 hp making it 580 hp. Only 10 RHD samples will be made and this coming spring the GT2 will make its appearance.
