Porsche will remain autonomous in North America after its integration with Volkswagen AG, spokesman Tony Foladpour confirms. 'Porsche will remain Porsche,' emphasizes Foladpour. On the other hand, Jeff Kuhlman, spokesman for Audi of America, said it is likely that VW's existing brand organizations in the United States will continue to report to their individual headquarters. "The VW group in the U.S., has each company running autonomously -- VW reports to Wolfsburg (Germany), Bentley to Crewe (England) and Audi to Ingolstadt (Germany)," he said. The two companies recently announced that VW will buy 42% of Porsche stock, with a merger into integrated company by 2011.
