Porsche working on the Pajun, or Junior version of the Panamera

If 10 years ago Porsche was known only for its sports cars, it seems that the German manufacturer is becoming more like a ‘normal’ manufacturer and wants to have a car for each segment. After the popular Cayenne and the new Panamera, it appears that a new car will be born in the Posche design studios: the Pajun, or Panamera Junior. That’s right folks, Porsche is planning a smaller version of the Panamera and will launch it by 2016.
According to Car Magazine, the new Pajun will use an advanced architecture known as MSB or modular rear-wheel (or all-wheel) drive matrix. Moreover, the new car will use a new family of modular V6 and V8 petrol engines and will also offer a hybrid version, just like the Panamera Hybrid powered by a V6 engine. Furthermore, the Porsche Pajun will spawn more versions such as a convertible, a coupe or even a shooting brake.
Regarding the engines, the entry-level Pajun will receive a brace of 3.0 and 3.6-litre V6s. The V8-powered versions will deliver between 400 and 550 hp (Pajun Turbo). The engines will be mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission but what is really interesting is that Porsche will also offer a seven-speed manual from the al-new 2012 Porsche 991. P.S.
