This year’s Sportback Concept is reported to be the primary influence for the next generation Audi A6 sedan, which will have its debut a year from now. The Sportback signaled the biggest change in Audi’s design language since the massive shield grilles were shown earlier in the decade. The design appears to be moving towards more surface development in the nose and possibly, a new hexagonal grille. Similar to the taillights on models like the A4 and Q5, the headlight clusters have a shape that’s pinched toward the center of the car. Overall, the look is vastly different from the rounded shape of the last generation.
