Preview: 2011 Bmw 5-Series by Racing Dynamics
The Italian tuner, Racing Dynamics, has released a teaser photo of the upgrades made on the 2011 BMW 5-Series sedan. Racing Dynamics, otherwise known as RDSport in the USA, specializes on BMW products.
According to the preliminary specs, the 535i R35 and the 550i R50S will both receive a range of performance and styling changes. Specific details on the engine upgrades have yet to be revealed. So far, the tuner said that the 535i R35’s 3.0-liter inline-six with the twin-scroll turbocharger will get an extra boost to produce 410HP and 383lb-ft torque. Continued after the jump!
The car will then be able to go from zero to 60mph (96km/h) in 5.3 seconds, which is 0.7 seconds faster than the standard 306HP 535i.
The factory model can produce 407HP from its 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 but the range-topping 550i with the R50S package can deliver an output of 620hp.
Aside from the engine mods, the sedans will also get a custom made exhaust system, a high performance braking system, a new rear-locking differential and a retuned and lowered suspension with new gas struts for the front axle and gas-pressurized shock absorbers for the rear.
In addition, the car gets new 21-inch lightweight alloy wheels, an aero kit and various options for the interior including special trim inlays.
