[Update: New Speedster unveiled, you can read all about it here - 2011 Porsche 911 Speedster: official details, photos, specs and price] As you may know already, a leaked document provided us information that the Porsche 911 Speedster will make a comeback but we found out more details regarding this car. First of all, the car will be inspired by the Boxster Spyder, and will have a semi-permanent fabric hood.
Also, the new car which will be produced in a limited edition of just 100 units, will feature a wide body kit, DK, 19-inch wheels, 2 seats as well as several unique colors. Regarding its engine, it appears that the car will receive the same 3.8-litre flat-six engine found on the 911 Sport Classic, and capable to deliver 408 hp.
The 911 Sport Classic can sprint from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.6 seconds while the top speed is limited to 187 mph (302 km/h) while the fuel consumption delivered in the New European Driving Cycle of 26.6 mpg (10.6 ltr/100 km). The new 911 Speedster is expected to deliver the same performances. Regarding its price, the leaked document revealed a price of around $200,000 (MSRP).
