2009 Cadillac CTS-V

Cadillac's 2009 CTS-V with its 556 hp ultimate performance major engine will begin production this month and witness preliminary sales beginning early November. This is the most recent of the V-series of extremely impressive performance models which intends to reach the top of the list of the world's most coveted cars, and having a bottom price of $59,995 (EUR44,700) in the American market. The Vice President of Cadillac/Premium Channel of North America, Mark McNabb said, "The launch of the new CTS-V presents a compelling proposition for luxury and performance enthusiasts. The CTS-V is a strong statement about Cadillac design and technology and a new member in the club of the highest performing luxury cars."

Patterned after the highly celebrated CTS sports sedan, the CTS-V model displays the brand's benchmark of outstanding technology and design. The CTS-V was prepared to enter the sphere of the fastest and most exclusive luxury sedans on the planet since it is equipped with advanced performance technology such as the super powerful 6.2-liter V8 engine and a Magnetic Ride Control, known as the fastest reacting suspension system in the world.

Standard to the CTS-V are a handcrafted cabin, a six-speed manual transmission and a surround sound system from Bose equipped with 40 gigabyte of hard drive and a USB port. Options are expanded through the availability of a new six-speed automatic transmission with the shift buttons conveniently located on the steering wheel, Recaro performance seats that can be adjusted in 14 different ways, interior accents made of microfiber, and a large sunroof.

Finally, McNabb said, "Along with the new Escalade Hybrid, the CTS-V is a key aspect in Cadillac's ongoing renaissance, with dramatic designs and very sophisticated technologies for luxury consumers. These two new high-tech Cadillac models pave the way for a series of new Cadillac models coming in 2009, including the upcoming CTS Sport Wagon and SRX Crossover."
