2011 Camaro Synergy Series

Leaks have come out, providing details about the upcoming Camaro Z28. The information was heard from the U.S. Chevrolet dealers' meeting. The scoop actually came from Camaro5’s BeckyD@RodgersChevrolet. We learned that the Camaro Z28 is referred to internally as the "HP Edition.” Production starts on January 1, 2012 and its engine will be powered by a 6.2 liter supercharged engine.

The HP Edition will be fitted with a Magnetic Ride suspension and will come with 285F/330R tires.

The hood will feature a louvre/slat design (which was observed in previous spy shots) and the interior gets modest updates with brighter trim-work.

It’s also believed that GM may choose the 6.2 liter LSA V8 from the Cadillac CTS-V. It may also provide several small modifications for the next Z28. That engine has an output of 556 bhp (415 kW) and 551 lb-ft of torque (746 Nm). [via camaro5]
