Pure insanity: Tuned Camaro to beat GT-R’s lap record at Nurburgring

Has the car to beat Nissan GT-R supercar‚ Nurburgring fastest time of 7:26.70 been made? Specialists at Tuning East Texas Muscle Cars claim that they will develop a new street-legal turbocharged 2010 Chevrolet Camaro that will be faster than the GT-R.
The tuning firm stirred controversy when it said that the GT-R wasn’t running street tires at the “Ring.” (for those who don't know about the GT-R Nurburgring lap, read the story here!). The tuning firm intends to overtake the GT-R by taking a base V6 Camaro instead of a V8, and adding a Squires Turbo Systems turbocharger, new rods, pistons and a forged crank to improve overall power. It is estimated that the turbocharged V6 Camaro will have a final power output of around 500 horsepower. However, power is not the only thing that matters. As Nissan has deftly shown with its GT-R's lap times around the 'Ring, handling reigns supreme. East Texas Muscle Cars will attempt to outclass the GT-R by giving its highly modified Camaro bigger brakes, Pedders bushings and coil-over suspension.
