R35 Nissan GT-R FIA GT1 revealed

Almost a year is left before Nissan is will be entering an FIA sanctioned GT1 face with its fast and furious GT-R supercar. It was confirmed by Nissan that they have prepared a race variant which will be offered for sale early next year. The first showing of the car will be in Silverstone on May 3, but the Nismo-developed racer will enter as a non-contesting entry in four races this year for performance evaluation purposes. For the final testing of the car, Nismo collaborated with Gigawave MotorSport, with drivers Michael Krumm and Darren Turner who will be most probably be racing this year. Essex, England-based racing team Gigawave MotorSport has been racing the FIA GT since 2007.
Gigawave, the team's parent firm is an official parter of the FIA GT Championship which makes available on-board cameras for real-time race coverage. The racecar is equipped with a special VK56DE V8 powerplant with a 5.6 liter displacement and produces up to 600hp (447kW) and a torque of 480lb-ft (650Nm). Power reaches the rear wheels through a six-speed transaxle by Ricardo and 5.5 inch carbon fiber triple plate clutch. Braking system is provided by carbon ceramic discs with 6-piston calipers all around, fitted on 18 inch forged alloy wheels produced by Rays. Further elements consist of a curb weight totaling just 2,976lbs in contrast to the factory version logged in at 3,792lbs., and a 65 million Yen ($720,000) price tag.
