If German race team Reiter Engineering had its way, its recently launched 2010 GT1-spec Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV would be one of the cars chosen to enter next year's GT 1 championship. The car was launched at last weekend's 24 Hours of Spa race meeting. Features include a carbonfiber outer skin with improved dynamics over the standard SV. Powering the car is a 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 661bhp and 487lb ft of torque. It will feature a Magneti Marelli-designed FIA ECU to regulate the engine power under race conditions. The GT1 SV is 4800mm long and 2058mm wide, while the total weight is 1150kg plus ballast to conform to the regulations. The FIA will nominate six automobile brands to enter cars in next year's GT1 championship and Reiter wants to be one of the chosen six.
