Renault could manufacture the new fourth-generation Clio only in Turkey

With an aim to cut costs, Renault SA is engaged in talks with Turkey's Oyak Group about a plan to produce the new fourth-generation Clio compact car only in Turkey instead of at Flins, Paris, according to a report from the French daily La Tribune. The third-generation Clio is already being produced at Renault's plant in Bursa, Turkey.
The automotive and cement department chairman Celal Caglar of the Oyak Group, which has a vehicle manufacturing partnership with Renault, said that this is a strategic subject. A Renault spokeswoman states that so far, there have been no decisions made.
