Renault Samsung eMX Concept
Although a lot of people know Samsung as the South Korean maker of electronic gadgetries and equipment like televisions and mobile phones, the fact is it has branched out into the automobile industry in partnership with Renault-Nissan in previous years. Last year, it was reported that Samsung's future car models would be derived from Renault platforms rather than on old Nissan designs as practiced currently. Presently, however, the enterprise is about to expand with the launch of a new sporty sedan dubbed the SM3 in the latter part of this year.
The car will be previewed in a concept designated as the eMX (for eco-Motoring eXperience). It will come with a 2.0 liter turbocharged powerplant and a skew of high-tech elements to enhance efficiency and fuel economy. South Korea has produced cars with continuously improving quality, particularly those from Hyundai and it seems that the trend is setup to keep on going with concepts like the eMX. SM5 and SM7 sedans together with the QM5 SUV, which was launched just recently, will be showcased in Seoul.
