After Ferrari made its decision not to join the next F1 World Championship if the budget limit will not be revised, Renault will also make a similar move. Although it has not yet been confirmed, the carmaker is anticipated to make a public announcement today. Although Renault has not yet made up its mind to totally turn its back on the 2010 season, such a decision would bring the pressure on the International Automobile Federation to new heights.
This is due to reports suggesting that carmakers BMW, Ferrari, Mercedes, Renault and Toyota are planning to come up with their own competition to rival F1. Besides Ferrari and Renault, BMW, Red Bull racing and Toyota have also signified their intention of leaving the 2010 season. All the F1 teams are still waiting for an official decision from the FIA.
