Renault has made a habit of launching limited edition models and offering them little by little to the market. Renault has been known to only provide a second batch when the few examples of a new limited edition sell out. This was the strategy that the automaker used on the Laguna Monaco GP Edition. Renault is following the same method for the Renault Megane Coupe-Cabriolet Floride. The limited edition of the open top Megane debuted at the 2011 Cannes Festival. The company waited for the Megane to be sold out. It then announced a second run.
Only 1,600 units of the Megane Coupe-Cabriolet Floride will be built for the second batch. Out of this figure, 250 are intended for the French market. It has a starting price of EUR33,100.
This car is dressed in Floride Ivory and features a gloss black roof. Its seats are available with a two-tone leather finish while ivory trimming and a metallic finish are used for the gear shifter. Powering this vehicle is a dCi diesel unit that offers 130 hp and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft). It can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 10.6 seconds and it has a top speed of 205 km/h (127 mph).
