Renault’s Laguna and Clio to receive new dual-clutch gearbox

In the future, it's likely that Renault's new dual-clutch gearbox would be found under the hood of the Laguna and the Clio, according to a company source. This unit, which was designed for and is currently only found in the Megane, is heavier by about 20kg than a regular manual unit. The Autocar report cited a source who said that the unit could slot into the Laguna and that it's small size is enough to fit into the Clio. The source said that the unit might also be installed in Renaultsport Meganes in a couple of years.
