Renntech C74 Konzept

Those who will attend the 2010 SEMA Show will get to view a new complete modification package for the C63 AMG from Renntech, one of America’s top Mercedes-Benz tuners. The project, dubbed the Renntech C74, tweaks the 6.2 liter V8 to now offer 605 hp and a peak torque of 555 lb-ft. The saloon is enabled to reach the quarter mile in 11.4 seconds (at 126 mph) and hit a top speed of 204 mph (328 km/h). The “74” designation to the name refers to the width of the rear wheel track (74 inches), which permits the fitting of 11 inch rims with 315 mm tires for the power-handling axle. Both the appearance and the aerodynamics of this vehicle are improved because of the use of carbon fiber exterior elements. In addition, the standard AMG rims were replaced with custom three-piece 19 and 20 inch wheels.
