There are reports coming out of the world of motor sports that March, a company started by a group in 1969 that involved Max Mosely, and Brabham of Sir Jack Brabham, a three time world champion, have been included as official entrants for the F1 budget-capped teams.
The reports said that FIA has confirmed that the new owner of March, Andrew Fitton, has submitted its entry papers at last Friday‚ deadline. A source from March itself has also confirmed this but also offered information saying that the team is not really too excited because of the rivalry concerning the three available spots for the 2010 season. March is still waiting for more details from the FIA. On the other hand, Brabham, a company that was begun in 1960 and has won 35 grands prix and a total of six world championships, has been owned by Ecclestone in the 1970s and 80s, and which is currently owned by an automotive supply firm based in Germany owned by Franz Hilmer, has likewise submitted its entry to the 2010 F1 season. During the previous year, Himler was responsible for acquiring the assets of the Super Aguri team, which is currently defunct. Another report is emerging saying that a third team of Italians has filed entry into the 2010 F1 season, but have done so anonymously. This report was made by Corriere della Sera and supported by sources at the FIA.
