Report: Cygnet available only for Aston Martin owners

Aston Martin Cygnet

Aston Martin's upcoming pint-sized model Aston Martin Cygnet - will only be available to current owners of the brand, according to Works Service, the brand's magazine. In a blog written for the New York Times, Aston Martin chief Ulrich Bez said that this concept is makin to an exclusive tender for a luxury yacht. The Cygnet, a luxurious version of the Toyota iQ, will not get a spruced up engine. Rather, the model uses the iQ's 97hp, 1.33-liter engine that produces up to 91 ft-lb of torque and enables a top speed of 105 mph.

These photos show an interior that has a generous amount of red and quilted black leather, along with premium gloss trim, infotainment screen, and an iPhone dock.

The exterior has been given exclusive paintwork, with chrome and carbonfiber details.

Needless hood venting is a remnant of the Vantage. Meanwhile, rear LED lighting comes from the Rapide. Multi-spoke alloy wheels with their graphite finish is reminiscent of the DBS.

The modified iQ costs from £20,000 and £30,000. Aston Martin plans to produce 2,000 Cygnet units.
