A spokesman for Indian-based Tata Motors, Debasis Ray, said the company has no plans to list its Jaguar Land Rover unit in London, denying a report that it had commenced talks with banks. Citing sources familiar with the matter, the ET Now television channel had recently reported that JLR would most likely be listed in 2012. Banking sources told Reuters that a JLR listing was not likely in the next 12 months as the company was still in the process of a turnaround. In 2008, Tata bought the British luxury brand from Ford Motor Co. for $2.3 billion. [via autonews - sub. required]
