RHJ International's CEO Leonhard Fischer said it does not rule out selling Opel back to General Motors. This provision is believed to be unpopular with Opel's labor force, who have openly demanded that GM disregard the possibility of buying it back. German chancellor Angela Merkel has said that Germany is in favor of Magna however, GM has said that it's keeping its options open and is apparently in favor of RHJ as the new owner. Fischer said that RHJ is relying on GM to push the vote for his company. The bids, Magna's and RHJ's, were submitted on July 20. [via autocar]
