Richard Beattie is Fisker’s new chief commercial officer

Richard Beattie has been named as the chief commercial officer of the hybrid-car company Fisker Automotive. This is the top sales and marketing position at the company. Beattie, who is 57, takes on the role during a crucial time for Fisker as it prepares for the global launch of the Karma sedan. Beattie will handle global marketing, sales, and customer service.
From 2002 to 2007, Beattie worked at Jaguar Land Rover North America’s sales and marketing division. In 2009, he was appointed as the executive vice president of marketing and sales with Jaguar North America.
Beattie’s long career in the industry also includes stints as vice president of marketing, sales, and service at Lincoln Mercury as well several top management positions at Ford of Europe and Mazda Motor Corp.'s North American operations. Beattie will be reporting to Fisker CEO Henrik Fisker, together with COO Bernhard Koehler and CFO Joe DaMour.
