The Roewe 750 hybrid is a hybrid version of the Roewe 750 saloon on which the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation is currently working on. Chinese publication, Automotive News China, says that the hybrid system is only a small hybrid setup since its electric motor and lithium-ion batteries cannot propel the car on its own.
However, it is capable of a reducing fuel consumption by 20 percent. Ricardo, the British engineering consultancy, has developed and fine-tuned the powertrain. This hybrid is set for manufacture by the end of next year and an all-electric variant will follow soon.
