Rolls-Royce moving the Spirit of Ecstasy celebrations at the Salon Prive 2011

2011 Rolls-Royce Ghost
In 2011, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars celebrates 100 years of the famous flying lady hood figurine – the Spirit of Ecstasy – at Salon Privé. Scheduled from June 22 to 24, 2011, the event will be held at Syon Park, West London - a venue that hosted more than 100 Rolls-Royce models at the end of a centenary drive through London in February 2011. Rolls-Royce, which has been involved with Salon Privé since the inaugural event in 2005, will introduce its 102EX, or the Phantom Experimental Electric. The prototype 102EX is equipped with the world’s first all-electric drivetrain for the super luxury segment and is set to make its United Kingdom debut at Salon Privé in 2011. Rolls-Royce will also return with a stand that includes a Rolls-Royce Ghost and Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe.
Aside from contemporary Rolls-Royce models, heritage will also be shown off with a dedicated class in the Salon Privé Concours d’Elégance. Among the vehicles that will be displayed are a 1923 Rolls-Royce Tourer, a rare 1927 Phantom I Udaipur Hunting Car and a 1911 Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost. David Bagley, Salon Privé co-founder, said Rolls-Royce is “coveted in its modern form, cherished for its heritage and admired for its exclusivity and uncompromising approach to luxury.”
He added that Salon Privé has developed to embody each aspect and attracts those who appreciate it. There are three changes for Salon Privé in 2011. The event for classic cars, supercars and luxury brands relocates to the 200-acre Syon Park, which is the London home of His Grace, The 12th Duke of Northumberland and takes place earlier, placing it at the center of Britain’s summer season calendar. The 2011 Salon Privé also incorporates a brand new “Quintessentially English Cars” sale by international collector car specialists, RM Auctions. The event will continue to have an all-inclusive approach to hospitality. Each guest ticket offers full access to all areas of Salon Privé, afternoon tea, lobster lunch and unlimited supply of Pommery champagne.
