As expected and revealed by 4WheelsNews in this post, Rolls-Royce will preview new members based on the 2010 Ghost sedan with new concept cars or Experimental Cars as the company describes them. Coupe and convertible models based on the Ghost are expected in next few years, but first of all these versions will both have concept versions in order to receive some feedback from its customers.
Rolls-Royce chairman Ian Robertson confirmed the fact that the upcoming models will not necessarily stick to the Ghost name and this means that we might see the return of such names as Corniche and Carmargue for the soft-top and coupe variants. Same sources confirmed the fact that a a long wheelbase version of the Ghost saloon is also considered. Apparently, Rolls-Royce us not concerned that this long wheelbase version will damage sales of the short wheelbase Phantom because a recent study showed that almost 80 percent of Ghost buyers are new to the brand and have a totally different profile to a Phantom buyer.
