For those who are not satisfied by the 2011 Porsche Cayenne powered by the direct-injected 3.0 liter V6 turbo engine, RUF, the well-known German tuning company specialized in Porsche vehicles announced that it found the solution to improve it. RUF offers two level of performance: the first level upgrades the standard engine from 240 hp (176 kW) to 288 hp (212 kW) and 428 lb-ft (580 Nm) through the optimization of the electronic engine management system. This upgrade level is priced at €3,850 plus VAT. The second upgrade level increases the power to 310 hp (228 kW) by the incorporation of a modified turbocharger but also tweaking the ECU (engine control unit). The torque is also upgraded to 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) but also the price, as this kit is priced at €7,300 plus VAT (including installation). Both performance enhancements are available immediately.
