The tuning experts of RUF created a package for the Porsche Cayman model that brings it to an entirely different level. Dubbed as the CTR 3, this package consists of a recently developed body that is built entirely of Kevlar-carbon composite. RUF didn’t base this package on any mid-engine concept. The customer can ask for the interior to be designed according to his or her taste, ranging from having a functional lightweight finish to a sporty luxury finish combined with Alcantara leather.
In addition, the interior features the aluminum gearshift lever for the sequential shift transmission as the central unit. Notably, the speedometer of the CTR 3 is graded up to 260 mph (420 km/h). Another big plus is that the newest version of the RUF Integrated Roll Cage is protecting the passengers. The Roll Cage is integrated in the A pillar and tube frame. These doors have also been fitted with integrated side impact protection beams. Major modifications were made to the car to go with the new mid-engine design.
The CTR is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8 liter flat-six engine that delivers 750hp at 7,100 rpm. It has a maximum torque of 708 lb-ft (960 Nm) at 4,000 rpm. In only 3.2 seconds, the CTR 3 can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h (62mph). It has a top speed of 236 mph (380km/h). It has received a set of 19-inch wheels in the front and 20-inch wheels in the rear. It could also come with a widebody fitting 335/30/20 tires in the back.
