The 2010 Subaru Legacy is set to be introduced next month at the New York Auto Show. The most current Legacy will borrow a number of design cues from the preceding concept car which was showcased in the Detroit Auto Show which includes a face lift that's possibly going to be found in the rest of the Subaru range of the future. Details of the new Subaru have emerged showing that it will come with a 4-cylinder, most likely a 2.5 liter unit with an upgraded turbo, or a 3.6 liter H6, with options including a 6-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.

Also offered are GT Premium and Limited trims, together with electric parking brake, 18-inch rims, six new colors, iPod interface and Bluetooth connectivity streaming audio and hands-free communication. Also expected to feature in the Legacy is a double-wishbone suspension at the rear and a significant boost in cargo capacity. There are speculations that the latest Legacy and Outback will be about 3.6 broader than the preceding model plus a four-inch boost in legroom for rear seating.
