Rumor: 2011 Audi S8 will carry a 620 hp Lamborghini-derived engine

The latest reports, indicate that the new high-performance Audi S8 will carry a Lamborghini-derived V10 engine. The new 5.2-liter V10 engine found also on the RS6 will develop around 620 hp (40 hp more comparing it to the RS6) and a torque of 553lb ft. A big improvement for the torque because the old S8 carried only 444 hp and 398lb ft. If these rumors are true the Bmw 760i and the Mercedes-Benz AMG models will definitely have a new rival ready to take all their customers. [via car]
