According to the latest reports from Autobild, the vehicle which will celebrate Audi's centenary will be the resurrected Ur-Quattro, a modern version of the legendary car that used to dominate almost all the sports vehicles back in 1980. The new vehicle will be based on the Audi A5 Coupe, but it will be shorter, wider, flatter and more powerful than the stylish coupe. It appears that the German manufacturer will use only lightweight materials such as aluminum along with polycarbonate windows, in order to obtain a total weight of 1,400 kilos.
Also, the vehicle will feature 19 or 20 inch wheels, ceramic brakes, a newly designed aerokit with an active rear spoiler, larger air intakes, magnetic suspension and the well-known Quattro system.
Under the hood, our sources confirm the possibility of a V6 biturbo engine capable to deliver an impressive 425 hp but there is a small possibility to see the brand new 2.5-liter engine found on the Audi TT RS, and capable to deliver around 375 hp, connected, of course, to a double-clutch gearbox which means it will make.
