Due to the financial slowdown, production of Audi's Project Anniversario, the successor of the UR Quattro, won't begin until 2012. Audi pushed back its rollout because the current conditions are thought by many to be improper for a hardcore sports coupe. Not much is known about the car. Weight is estimated to be around 1,400 kilos and relies on several lightweight parts. New seats and revised interiors will contribute to the 240 kg weight reduction over the S5. Audi is said to be considering a twin-turbo V6 powerplant that would generate around 425 horsepower. High performance brakes and an upgraded suspension system are sure to make it to the production version. It is believed that Audi will preview the car next year, with the 2010 auto show likely to host the first public appearance of the new model.
