Rumor: Ferrari 599 Spider in the works

From an undisclosed location, a prototype with the body of a Ferrari California was spotted with a removable top, which at first glance appears to be nothing more than just another California being prepped for testing. However, those who spotted the car saw that its interior is significantly distinct in contrast to the California and looks like it is closer to the Ferrari 599 GTB than anything else.
Although it cannot be confirmed at this stage, the evidence that the Italian carmaker is developing a convertible version of its V12 super-tourer is undeniable.
It is highly likely that Ferrari is prepping up a 599 Spider prior to the introduction of the new model in a couple of years, since talks have been going around for months that the carmaker is coming out with a top-down model.
