Rumor: Honda Crosstour coming in October

Rumors have been abounding up until now, but Honda Crosstour will hit the US market in the latter part of October this year. Prototypes of the Honda rivalling Toyota Venza have been observed testing in US territory with a jerry-rigged European Accord Tourer arrangement, since it won't be much different from it, that is, visually. There are indications that an all-wheel-drive is likely due to the fact that a different rear differential has been seen on some of the test mules.

Reports are saying that it will be patterned on the Accord platform with a tow capacity of 3,500 lbs, will be 2.5 inches higher than the Accord and will be 7 inches longer than the Venza, indicating a third row seating, although the Accord Tourer is known to be a strictly two-row vehicle.

Honda dealers have already received their accessory pre-order packs, and knowing Honda's standard operating procedure, it takes about six months after that before the products are delivered.
