Today we received an interesting email, at our editorial office. According to unnamed sources, it appears that the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept will see a production version. Still, the car will be built in a very limited edition of just 10 units, each priced at around 2.5 million euros. If true, this means that we will find the lightest Lamborghini on the streets, ready to blast the competition. For those who don’t know, the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept has a total weight of just 999 kilograms (2,202 lb) – including V10 power unit and permanent all-wheel drive.
The car is powered by a V10 engine delivering 570 hp and capable to push the car from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.5 seconds, and to a total speed that exceeds 320 km/h (200 mph). As expected, the car will be manufactured using carbon fiber but also the latest technology which will debut on the upcoming Lamborghini models. In addition, the car will be offered with five-spoke carbon fiber wheels.
“The Lamborghini Sesto Elemento shows how the future of the super sports car can look – extreme lightweight engineering, combined with extreme performance results in extreme driving fun. We put all of our technological competence into one stunning form to create the Sesto Elemento,” said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.
