Rumor: Mini Cooper Roadster coming to Frankfurt Motor Show

Although the Mini Cooper and Cooper S are great rides, the Convertible seem to be in need of improvements in several areas, including aspects of visibility and weight. The good news is that the solution may be on its way when the Mini unveils the Cooper Speedster at the Frankfurt Motor Show this coming September. There are reports suggesting that the Cooper will lose it rear seats to become a strict two-seater, but will come with a retractable soft-roof that is fitted to the shortened, more steeply inclined windscreen. The Speedster will undergo weight reduction, will be shown later in the year and probably hit production by 2010.
