Rumor: New Dodge MPV coming by 2012

Sometime in calendar year 2012, showrooms will receive a new seven-seat multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) that is being developed for the US market. Last April, Fiat revealed its latest strategy to revive the Chrysler Group. It also gave a brief outline of the products that will roll out over the next several years both in Europe and the US. This new MPV, which will be built on the Fiat Group C-compact platform, will rival the Mazda5 and Ford's upcoming Grand C-Max. While it's possible that the model could be badged as both a Chrysler and a Dodge, a Dodge-branded vehicle is more likely, especially with reports that Fiat plans to keep Chrysler and Lancia closely linked.
