Rumor: Porsche 911 Hybrid in the works

To those who thought Porsche 911 could never have a hybrid or all-electric version, think again. Porsche's Wolfgang Durheimer has toyed with the idea and never actually ruled it out but still there are no confirmed plans of production. These latest spy shots reveal that the Porsche 911 prototype is sporting a suspicious bulge on the front hood. On this bulge is an electric flash sticker that could just be the confirmation we've all been waiting for.
In place of the Porsche badge is a Batman symbol. According to photographers on this shoot, the prototype was running very quietly for a 911.
Hybrid versions to the Cayenne and the Panamera are coming up soon so it's not a huge leap for our imagination that the 911 model will be transforming too. With new limits to CO2 and fuel-economy regulations around the globe, the Porsche 911 all-electric model isn't so unusual after all.
