Rumor: Volkswagen New Compact Coupe (NCC) coming to Detroit

According to the latest reports, it appears that at this year‚ Detroit Auto Show we will see the Volkswagen New Compact Coupe (NCC), a new car derived from the next-generation Jetta. The new coupe dubbed Jetta Coupe will be designed for the North American market and will take on the Bmw 1-Series Coupe.
It appears that it will have two engine choices: a 2.5-liter five-cylinder petrol engine capable to deliver 170 hp and the 211 hp engine found on the Golf GTI. The so-called Jetta Coupe will also have a hybrid version which will carry the 1.4 TSI engine and an electric motor. Expect the new car by the end of 2011.
