According to Victor Muller a.k.a. CEO of Spyker, it appears that Saab is in deep talks with potential partners about procuring a platform for building a new version of the iconic tear-drop-shaped Saab 92 model launched 60 years ago. Saab needs to decide within the next few months if it will build an entry-premium car in order to compete with similar cars built by Audi and BMW. Victor Muller said that the whether to go forward with the new model, which will be introduced on the market in 2013, will depend on the economic conditions.Muller has a though job to improve Saab sales which dropped to about 40,000 cars last year from about 130,000 five years ago and said that the new car has to be the most stunning looking, the most ingenious and the most premium car in order to take on cars such as BMW's Mini and the new Audi A1.
