Sales of electric powered vehicles drop in the U.K.

Nice Electric CarThe sales of electric powered vehicles dropped by half this year, compelling the NICE Car Company, one of the producers of electric vehicles, into administration. There were only about 156 electric powered vehicles sold in the UK since the beginning of 2008, according to NICE, which sold the Mega City and was seeking an expansion of its lineup, had lately launched its second showroom in the new shopping center in Westfield.

Showcased by the company was a Fiat 500 with its electric drivetrain technology at the London motor show this year. There is no word from the press office of NICE concerning the recall of its administrators the previous week. It was acknowledged by a NICE spokesperson that the firm was “no longer paying” him. Another EV company, Going Green, which sells the G-Wiz, is also said to be experiencing plummeting sales. There are a total of 1100 electric-powered vehicles on the streets of UK. After the recall of incentives for drivers by the government and local council, the sales plummeted. The City of London turned around its decision last June to allow free parking for electric car drivers. Significantly, both NICE and Going Green have received complaints concerning the crash worthiness of their vehicles.
